A permit is required for the installation of new or used wood stoves as they are inspected for code requirements. The permit fee is based on the valuation of the installation.
RESIDENTIAL MECHANICAL PERMIT APPLICATION
Literature concerning the manufacturer's installation instructions must be submitted to the Building Inspection Division prior to the issuance of a building permit for a new or used wood stove. New wood stoves must also be listed and approved by a nationally recognized testing agency.
