Divisions
In Fridley, the safety of our residents, businesses and visitors is of utmost importance. All city employees want to keep the public safe, but none do so more prominently than our firefighters and police officers. On November 1, 2018, the Police and Fire departments merged to become a more robust and efficient Public Safety department. The new department consists of two divisions, Fire and Police, that work together on emergency management, community outreach, crime and fire prevention, and more.
