Fridley Municipal Television Channel 17
Fridley Municipal Television is owned and operated by the City of Fridley.
All operating expenses are paid for by cable franchise fees.
Fridley Municipal Television began operations in 1982. Today, we produce 80 to 120 programs per year. These programs are designed to inform Fridley residents about topics of interest within the City of Fridley, including government meetings, Community Connection, Community Development Journal, recycling programs, public safety programs, recreation and senior center programs.
Government meetings covered by the Municipal Channel include City Council, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Appeals Commission and Planning Commission.
Select programs are also available free on Comcast Cable's On Demand, but a digital cable box is required. Tune your box to Channel 1, choose "Get Local," then "Civic on Demand," and then "Fridley."
Any show on our channel can be played by request. Simply call or email Brian Strand at (763) 572-3501.
